Good thing we visited Hyannis and Dennis on the south shore on our way in, and spent the next day cruising all the way out to Provincetown at the tip the next day. After that there was no leaving, as the bridges close down when the wind reaches 50 mph. We picked a nice open spot with as few overhanging branches as possible and spent the next two days riding out our first NorEaster. Like a lot of weather events, the anticipation overmatched the actual result. Still it was a cool blustery and rainy weekend to plan our trip up the coast.
