We visited Canyonlands yesterday and enjoyed a perfect anniversary picnic near the Green River Overlook. The Island in the Sky section is a great plateau with the Colorado canyons on the east and the Green River Canyon on the west. Driving south you finally come to the view of the confluence. From here to Lake Powell, the Grand Canyon and then Lake Meade 600 miles downstream, thousands of cubic miles of earth, washed down the Colorado River.
